While the Rural Alberta Entrepreneurs with Disabilities Program (EDP) is designed for individuals living outside Edmonton and Calgary, there are other excellent programs and supports available across Alberta and Western Canada. Here’s where you can find additional help:

Urban EDP Programs in Alberta

PROSPECT HUMAN SERVICES – EDMONTON
If you live within the Edmonton city limits, Prospect offers a no-cost Entrepreneurs with Disabilities Program tailored to your needs. Services include business advising, workshops, and peer networking — all designed for accessibility and inclusion.

MOMENTUM – CALGARY
Momentum supports Calgarians facing financial and other barriers through a variety of programs, including self-employment training and business development. Their services are designed to help you start and grow a business in a supportive environment.

EDP Programs in Other Provinces

British Columbia – Community Futures BC
Community Futures BC offers the Entrepreneurs with Disabilities Program across 34 rural offices. Services include business coaching, training, planning support, and access to funding.

Saskatchewan – Community Futures Saskatchewan
This program supports rural Saskatchewan entrepreneurs with disabilities or health conditions through business planning, coaching, and training.

Who is Community Futures?

Community Futures is a network of 27 non-profit organizations across Alberta that support rural entrepreneurs and small businesses. Each office is deeply rooted in its local community and understands the unique challenges and opportunities of rural business ownership.

Our teams are here to help you succeed — with practical tools, local knowledge, and a commitment to inclusive entrepreneurship.
