Can You Apply for the EDP?
You may be eligible for the Rural Alberta Entrepreneurs with Disabilities Program (EDP) if:
- You live in rural Alberta (outside Edmonton or Calgary)
- You are starting, running, or growing a small business
- You experience a disability, long-term health condition, neurodivergence, or other health-related barrier that affects your ability to start or maintain your business
The disability or health condition does not need to be medically diagnosed — it can be self-declared.

Find Your Local Community Futures Office
Use our Community Futures Office Locator and tell them you are interested in applying for the Entrepreneurs with Disabilities Program and the other services they have on offer. They will take it from there.
