Starting or growing a business can feel overwhelming—but you don’t have to do it alone. Through the Entrepreneurs with Disabilities Program (EDP), rural Albertan entrepreneurs living with disabilities, health conditions, or neurodivergence can access free coaching packages designed to meet your unique needs.

These packages aren’t cookie-cutter solutions. They’re built around common questions and challenges our coaches hear every day, and tailored to your goals, mindset, and physical capability. Once you’re approved for the program, your EDP Coordinator and Coach will help you choose the package that fits your business stage.

Here’s a closer look at the three coaching packages:

Package 1: Business Discovery

Best for: If you don’t have a business yet and want to explore the possibility.
What you’ll work on:

• Identify the best business idea for you
• Explore how to manage your business day-to-day while navigating your health condition
• Pinpoint the practical steps to get your business started

This package is perfect for turning “I have an idea” into “I have a plan.”

Package 2: Business Planning

Best for: If you already have a business idea and want to get into the details.
What you’ll work on:

• Create a Business Plan for yourself or a lender, including:
  ✔ Business idea development
  ✔ Marketing strategy
  ✔ Operations approach
  ✔ Financial analysis
• Identify business financing options, if you need them

This package helps you build a strong foundation for success and prepare for funding opportunities.

Package 3: Business Sustainability

Best for: If you have a business and want to problem-solve or plan for long-term success.
What you’ll work on:

• Identify and resolve individual challenges
• Explore new strategies to expand your reach
• Implement workflow efficiency
• Prepare to pivot or sell your business

This package is all about keeping your business strong and adaptable for the future.

How Coaching Works

• Start with a Discovery Call to choose the right package for your needs.
• Work with your coach to create a Coaching Plan tailored to your goals.
• All coaching is free of charge, and you can apply for up to two packages per fiscal year (April 1 – March 31).
